A letter from Frederick Andrews offers the following insight: 

I was about thirteen years old when Dr. T. W. Marsee, since passed over, said to my mother: "There is no possible chance, Mrs. Andrews. I lost my little boy the same way, after doing everything for him that it was possible to do. I have made a special study of these cases, and I know there is no possible chance for him to get well." 

She turned to him and said: "Doctor, what would you do if he were your boy?" and he answered, "I would fight, fight, as long as there is a breath of life to fight for."

That was the beginning of a long drawn-out battle, with many ups and downs, the doctors all agreeing that there was no chance for a cure, though they encouraged and cheered us the best they could.

But at last the victory came, and I have grown from a little, crooked, twisted, cripple, going about on my hands and knees, to a strong, straight, well formed man.

Now, I know you want the formula, and I will give it to you as briefly and quickly as I can.

I built up an affirmation for myself, taking the qualities I most needed, and affirming for myself over and over again, "I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy." I kept up this affirmation, always the same, never varying, till I could wake up in the night and find myself repeating, "I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy." It was the last thing on my lips at night and the first thing in the morning.

Not only did I affirm it for myself, but for others that I knew needed it. I want to emphasize this point. Whatever you desire for yourself, affirm it for others, and it will help you both. We reap what we sow. If we send out thoughts of love and health, they return to us like bread cast upon the waters; but if we send out thoughts of fear, worry, jealousy, anger, hate, etc., we will reap the results in our own lives.

It used to be said that man is completely built over every seven years, but some scientists now declare that we build ourselves over entirely every eleven months; so we are really only eleven months old. If we build the defects back into our bodies year after year, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Man is the sum total of his own thoughts; so the question is, how are we going to entertain only the good thoughts and reject the evil ones? At first we can't keep the evil thoughts from coming, but we can keep from entertaining them. The only way to do this is to forget them -- which means, get something for them. This is where the ready-made affirmation comes into play.

When a thought of anger, jealousy, fear or worry creeps in, just start your affirmation going. The way to fight darkness is with light -- the way to fight cold is with heat -- the way to overcome evils is with good. For myself, I never could find any help in denials. Affirm the good, and the bad will vanish.

Mystery mummified monster discovered in Siberia diamond pit
A bizarre mummified creature has been discovered at the heart of a diamond mine in the Sakha Republic, in northern Siberia. This ancient "monster" could date back to between 252 and 66 million years ago. The Siberian Times reports that the miners who found the remains had been working at the Udachnaya pipe diamond deposit, an open-pit diamond mine located just outside the Arctic Circle. The site was discovered in 1955 and since then yielded 350 million tonnes of ore containing rough diamonds. There has also been a number of unusual discoveries such as that of a mystery red rock full of diamonds. However, no find has been as strange as the mummified monster that has just been uncovered.

Enhance or Inhibit

IMPORTANT QUESTION TO ASK YOURSELF ABOUT ANYTHING THAT IS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE IS.

WILL THIS ENHANCE MY LIFE OR WILL INHIBIT?

Logic will go so much and unlike a creator who can create a world for logic to work, play in it. How far can you go fuel by mere logic. Not so far. Sometimes we hit a wall and since everybody has in one time or another hit the same wall. We figure there is nothing we can do so we give up. No growth happens because we don't know any better. This is why we have to search as much information possible and make new connections in our brain.

Perhaps we can do better than we are doing now? Perhaps we can have better things than we have now? Who really knows?

We must dare to be curious and stretch out the limits of our imaginations. Maybe there is something better we can do or something that we can learn that will enable us and propel us beyond. Is hard to solve problems when you are among it. You must choose a different perspective and go above and beyond it to solve it.

At the end of the day. One must ask oneself. Am I enhancing my life or am I inhibiting it. Is up to us to create the life we want.

A very inspiring book specially if you like horses.

You have greatness within you.

The moral of the story is never give up on your dreams. The time frame of this story was in an important time and is just inspiring. I found a great summary of this book on a Youtube video from a business leader. He does a great job on summarizing the book in 17 minutes. The audio book is 9 hours long. So to watch the video for only 17 minutes is worth it to get the gist of this story. If you love horses. You must check this story out!

Pool on the Rise

Pool is going to be the greatest sport.

I just finish reading this book and it gets me excited about the possibilities of pool. Since I have a $750 cue in my pool bag and a $1,200 pool table at home and I play my local pool tournaments every week like a religion.

When you have the urge to get mad. Don't instead practice some more, read ask yourself what can you do better. Who knows you might end up doing something greater.

Pool is picking up momentum and who knows what this sport can become. We can judge the history and we can be pessimist of the future of it. But I would rather get ready to be a player or a visionary of it. If you haven't read this book, read it. I think the key word is Over Coming. We should over come our adversities and rejoice when somebody else does. We can help others over come by educating them and this will give them the ability to do.

We have been programmed by negative thinking of others and negative thinking from ourselves. Is time to stop and reprogram our minds through education and information that is available for free on the internet. We need to change what we say to ourselves. No matter where you are in life. You can change and it all starts with your thinking. Change your thinking and your life will follow.

Printed material should be digital.

I refuse to seek out print material to get my information.

With the advent of the digital age. I find it hard to seek out printed materials like a did few years ago. Most of my reading, or learning is happening through documentaries on Youtube and Lynda.com. Most of the books I am reading are Ebooks, E-magazines. 

It doesn't look like match just watching my phone and not showing a fancy library for it. But the amount of information I am going through is amazing. It is a true wonderful event that happens from the inside out. Living the digital is so excited to me because my stuff is available on the cloud and the amount of space I save is amazing. I could go anywhere in the world with internet access and have my books, magazine, videos and online classes available for to me. 

I think this will grow and is getting even better since now the phones are getting so powerful. One can do most of it from the phone them whether is learning, entertaining or making money from them.

My advice if you don't feel comfortable with technology is start training your brain little by little and realize that is just programming . I am taking a math class on educosoft.com and most of the my problem solving is done on Paint. At first it was weird using the mouse but as time went by.. my scribbles look better and my attachment to it is getting stronger. You will get better on what you do most and if you start today. Who knows where the world of digital will take it.

real books that are defined by reality

Logic vs Imagination

Watch out for these books!

If you don't mind hitting a dead end and calling it quits.. These books are good for that. But if you are looking for something positive or upbeat perhaps something that can make a difference in your life and who knows give you that edge to solve a problem these books are not that. These books are too real and depressing. It comes a point when one must identify what helps and doesn't and even though these authors have value I didn't find something that I can use for my daily living. I will not banned them but I would say use caution and you have been warned. 

The Indian story of the two wolves comes to my mind. You have two wolves. One is positive and the other one is negative. Which wolves will you feed? 

Will you use logic to solve things or would you use your imagination. If you want to use logic.. be prepare to be limited. If you want to use imagination than prepare for that unknown and these is the part where these books are not helpful to help you deal with the unknown because they are defined by reality.

I listened to this Audio Book on my phone. I picked up some good points about it. Then I wanted to solidify my learning experience and did a book summary search about it.

Book Summary

Lindstrom claims that market research is nothing but unreliable and misleading. He maintains that “how we say we feel about a product can never truly predict how we behave”. As a result the book is set out in a series of experiments conducted to prove, disprove or explore theories surrounding what drives consumers to buy (or not to buy).

The brain is deceptive. Using an experiment conducted on 32 smokers from around the world, fMRI results indicated that when shown a slideshow of images of cigarette packet health warnings, a “craving spot” within subjects’ brain was actually stimulated. This experiment, despite almost all subjects claiming they were affected by the health warnings, produced results which suggested they weren’t.  The warnings apparently had no effect on putting people off smoking, instead increased their desire to. This, the first of a series of examples, demonstrates that what we say we think or feel, is often not mirrored by our brain. Apparently the billions spent on health campaigns are actually helping the tobacco industry – 10 million cigarettes are sold every minute.

We may think we understand why we buy but looking closely at our brain suggests very differently.

Cloud Digital Storage Tips

Owning Vs. Access

I use to think before when I was design oriented that creating web sites was all about design rather than content. Now a days my perspective has changed and I am all about using the amazing free resources and give my 100% attention to content. With the rise of mobile you can pretty much do more and access more from anywhere in the world. For example with Google docs  you can easily create spreadsheets, word documents, power point presentations and even collect information. Talk about having an office back end on the go. You can do all this through your phone and PC from virtually any where. Your creativity is the limit. Plus remember all theses documents can easily be shared and worked on them by anybody that you give access to, so think team work.

Tire of carrying around important documents in paper that don't really need to be in a physical format like a passport or birth certificate. You can scan them now and add them to your Google Drive. This another great service from google that pretty much gives you access to 15 Gigabyte of free space on the cloud.

You need more space to save your photos? You can use google plus and upload your pictures there. Google drive is more like your own private USB stick that you don't need to carry around.

This in a nutshell could be all you might need to start your digital business. Think big, think digital.

How to read and hear books for free.

Amazing Resources for Free

If you live in Los Angeles, CA or in the state of California. You can get a free library card from Los Angeles Public Library. Which in my view is one the biggest public library in all the states. Here is the link to the library website. http://www.lapl.org/ 

It has a lot of free resources. Feel free to explore the site since it contain many treasures within that can be access through your library card for Adults as well for kids too. Since I don't live near Los Angeles any more is hard for me to visit this great library any more. Nevertheless I can still benefit from its digital resources and get the books in audio and video format. What I use a lot is called OverDrive. The library has a partnership with this company and through them they provide digital media for the public. The link to this portal is OverDrive Los Angeles Public Library You must use your library card number and pin number to access the books. Once you are in you can listen to audio books, read Ebooks from your computer and if you download an app from overdrive you can do it there too. I personally use the phone more than the computer because I can take it with me everywhere.

If you can't access the website or have any other technical issue. You can always call the public library and get the help from them. Please note that Los Angeles Public Library and Los Angeles County public library are not the same. Los Angeles county public library has also partnerships with Overdrive Los Angeles County. If you have a library card from them. You can expand the access of your library book resources. If you don't live in California always ask your local library since Overdrive has formed partnerships with local library through out the states, Canada and other areas.
